OMG that is adorable! I have Porcelains and Paints Woot! And that little guy? He will fit perfectly with DK (Donna King my black pullet) hahahaha You all remember DKwith her one hair sticking up for weeks?

I will try to get some better pictures later, but here are a couple a few. Talk about variety!
Note here LadyHawk...... Chipmunk = Partridge! Got one of those, even though there were no eggs in there labeled Partridge. (green leg band means it came out of the Lavender pen).

PS.... EDIT to add: Tell me if these pictures turned out. I am on my new computer and the color is WAYYY off, and I can't tell.

That's quite a variety there! Yeah, I wonder what's up with the labeling the seller did. Did she get confused a bit? Could be she mixed them up a little-the one from the black egg sure doesn't look black, does it? Anyway, bunch of cuties, for sure!

I'd say they were simply taking a wild guess at which is which.

How did they represent them in their auction, Kathy? Were they advertised as specific colors in specific quantities? Or did they simply say that it would be a mixed lot? It doesn't change how cute they are, but if a person were after a specific color variety, the mix up could sure make a mess of their plans.

We've gotten approximately 14 inches of new snow in the last 36 hours!

I'm lovin' it! Of course, the chickens aren't real thrilled with it. Oh well, you can please some of the chickens some of the time, and most of the chickens most of the time, but you can never please all of the chickens all of the time!

Ah adorable oddities...they will be perfect for around my place. They will fit right in. hehehehehe

How many Lavender did you actually have hatch? Any BBS? I bet those creamy ones are going to be that champagne colored paint which is fine with me and that black oddity, Don King, could very well end up a silver/grey. The partridge could be a calico when it grows up as Lokie looked identically except he was a bit more silvery dark background colored.

Very interesting and adorable. So how do we ship them in these cold nights? Long term hand warmers or ???? I am most inexperienced with that stuff. I will run out for chick starter as soon as they ship but their brooder, heat lamp and such are ready to rock n roll...inside the house of course where they shall begin their oddity training here at the Menagerie.

Hey, guys, think some good thoughts for Zane. His breathing is off, like he's coming down with pneumonia. I always feared that would happen with him always laying on his chest, sort of like how bedridden people will often get pneumonia. We put him on Tylan, but he's not very perky right now. Zane has been like this since he was less than 6 months old-he turned 4 years back in November. He's my angel with barred wings, love of my life. I hope he gets better, but he's not had it great, being crippled like he is. Yet, his attitude has always been remarkably cheery and sweet.

Thank you, Kathy and Robin. His eyes are still bright and he still gives me the Zane wink. He just radiates love out of those soulful eyes of his when he looks at me. No discharges or any other symptoms, just deep down 'wrong' breathing. He's my heart, that boy.
