LH & Chy, I am so sorry for your losses

That happens from time to time with me too, Kathy. It's why I never delete the last email notification until a new one hits my inbox. It's a lot easier to click the link in my email than to go shoveling around in the forums index, trying to find SDWD!

LH, I may have to get rid of your Little Love and Rusty both. Poor little Shadow's comb was bloody today. They gang up on her and now that she squats for them, one will be pulling on her comb while one is mating her. It's too much for her. I really don't need four roosters in that pen. If you really want him, I'll see about keeping him around for awhile-maybe someone who is going up your way can take him up to you or close enough you can meet them and pick him up. Shadow is too important to us to let them continue to do that to her. We had to bring her in the house to clean up her comb, poor little diva. I believe that two males in that pen is plenty, even if I hatch out and add a few more pullets.

Zane seems really good today. I took Gypsy to visit after she laid her egg. When I went back to get her later, he was perky and eating and singing, so happy. She really lifts his spirits. He also got out in the sunshine for a little while.
