Saturday, March 10, will be day 50. I have no idea when (or if) it is gonna hatch. It's ALIVE right now, though! One is anyway! Not sure about the other one.

Well, I have a wee bit of a problem on my hands now, and any advice on how to solve it would be greatly appreciated. Here's the situation:

About a month and a half ago, I removed Ingrid [aka Frog] from the flock for two reasons. 1) she was nearly naked from a hard molt and too many boys around, and 2) she had the biggest bumble on her left foot I've ever seen one of my chickens get. I'm happy to report that both nakedness and bumble have been resolved. The problem is, when I tried to return her to the flock day before yesterday, four of her five sisters tried to beat the crap out of her! And I mean they all ganged up on her! Crap! Crapcrapcrap!!!

So, now what? I'm thinking about putting her in at night and removing Vivian and Tira at the same time, since both of those girls could use some quiet time themselves. Poor Vivian...she's nearly naked as a Jay bird!

Any thoughts y'all have, I'd love to hear them.

Anytime I remove someone, they have to be slowly reintroduced when it is time to return to the flock. Not too bad around here, because I let so many out free ranging, they just sorta blend in after awhile. But, I feel your pain..... I know what you're going through.
