Ahh- In my wellie's case I think it's stress- the heat, and the new marans roo that he fights with through the fence all day. It's just the 3 back points that look dark. I'll have to get a closer look- might actually be dried blood. I have never had 2 roos that hate eachother soooo much. It's too bad- because individually, they are really gentle, people-friendly boys. The wellie must have overheard me talking about giving his EE girls to the marans

I had a hen whose comb turned blue this winter. She was mid molt and I think her system was overly stressed. She is fine now.

I love this thread already!!!

BTW- I will post this on the Del thread, too, BUT if you do a search on "Seriousbill" you will get all her posts and I just scanned through a few of them- all the stuff Cyn has quoted us plus more- there is GREAT discussion on barring and tail black and the genetics involved.

I bet there are lots of tidbits in her posts.

Moved again? Good garden o' peas! With all this runnin around I'll have to put new tennis balls on my walker.

Yard: Speaking of Combs, do you know what the bald man said when he got a comb for his birthday?

ans: Thanks, I'll never part with it. (

I kill me).

I noticed I wasn't the only one up til after 2:00am. Just what's keeping you up? I got stuck watching reruns of shows my family doesn't like. I'm retired so it's doesn't matter to much, except I have to get up and let the chickens out.

OMIGOSH, I love that picture, Kathy! It's the real you, I can tell, LOL.

Loved the comb joke, Tim.

Soooo, if I said I was selling all of my Delawares, including Isaac, would there be any takers? Honestly, I'm having thoughts that I don't usually have. I know my brain is half cooked.
