Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!! I stood beside his grave in Ireland and it was such a beautiful site to behold!! Hope you're having tons of craic today!!
Brandon, I want to adopt you or at least share custody with your Mom. I would even pay "child support" if it meant I could go on those great trips with you. What an adventure.

Cyn, my last 3 silkies shared 8 eggs. Stealing from eachother. The chicks accepted that they had 3 moms. Who could ask for more?

I had to put a chick down this morning. I had vaccinated them all, I must have hit something important , and the chick couldn't walk after that. It didn't improve. I am so bummed.
I am so sorry seminolewind

Question: Is winter ever going to leave the Inland NW?!?

The chickens and I have had just about enough of this nonsense! Do you know it even SNOWED yesterday?!? Big fat soggy flakes! It was 36F outside! Gawds! This weather is so dang screwy! And no end in sight! The forecast for the next 12 days is like this! How in God's sweet green earth am I ever going to be able to clean the coop in this junk?!?!? Gaaaaaah!! Calgon! Take me away!!!

Amy, it has been wonderful here. We even hit 80 last week. However it is too early for things to be budding out and farmers are worried that it may hurt the fruit crops. The snow is gone and the sun is shining.

Temps are perfect here if the rain would go away. grrrrrr Bill placed all the poles for the chicken run(s) 40' x 30' overall. Today is setting more poles and making a waterer and feeder. Kathy I am going to use those red auto water cups so will let you know how it goes.

I am putting 2 on a 5 gallon bucket for Lancelot and Hector's area. So, will find out how this goes but I am sure the girls will get the hang of it fairly quick with those big red cups.

Laura, I'm glad you're getting such great weather. I just hope it isn't the calm before the spring storms that the upper midwest is so notorious for. You know the kind.....the ones that dump two feet of snow just when the tulips and daffodils come into bloom!

] Sorry sweetie. And lord knows, I probably just put the whole snowball in motion simply by saying it. You know that old addage: Say it and it will probably happen.

It was colder than a well diggers fanny here this morning. At least it hasn't rained [yet] today. And I'm very happy to report that all of the tile work in the master bathroom is now laid! All that is left to do is grout it tomorrow and then seal 72 hours later! And then....AND THEN.....BATH TIME!!!! The shower in the guest bathroom has been done for quite sometime. But it's just a shower. A nice long soak in the tub is going to feel sooooooooooooo good!!!
