Sdwd

I'm pretty much tired of breeding anything, period. And tired of life in general, I guess. The humid weather is making me crabby and I want to let loose with my very unpopular opinions on so many things, like the Olympics and Habitat for Humanity, both of which I am firmly against. See? I could name a few more things that I am "anti-", but I'm sure some of the usual suspects would find SDWD and start the task of getting the thread closed down. I need fall weather NOW, before I say something that someone else will regret.

Just felt the need to vent. Wish we could vent this humidity!!!

Emily is broody for the 6th time. I think I'll give her eggs in the broody pen, which is sure to speed up the process of breaking her up. She never goes to 21 days.

Moved Aimee, Carly and the five 5 week old chicks into the bantam coop today. Should be some nifty fireworks in there at roost time.

I hear ya, Cyn. I am feeling pretty anti-alot-of-things these days, too. Maybe it is just the weather? I dunno, but I am tired of feeling this way.

Now I can't believe I quoted you both without ever having done it before. Must be there's still some fire in these old gray cells after all.

Both of you two, just take it easy. Lord have mercy heaven knows there are far to few people who can make me smile. My DD calls me Crabman and I'm sure at times I'm anti this or that., but everyone is about somethings. We all have Jonah days now and then.

Cyn you're entitled to your opinion and with me to express it anytime. I read an old 60's poster in the Uniform store that said , "you haven't converted a man because you have silenced him". I don't know for sure but expect it's from the Vietnam war days, but it's still true today. Point is, I think of that poster when folks disagree with me on some topic. At my age, seems to be a lot, but then I remember there aren't to many old geezers who use a computer or I expect there'd be more who saw things my way. So I just let things go.

Fact is, if I was a Mod and someone got their knickers in a twist, I'd just tell them to move on. Why folks keep trying to get us all to conform in our thinking is beyond me. You might as well try to teach a pig to fly. You'd stand a better chance with the pig.

So your not a reed blowing in the wind? Nothin wrong with that.

Kathy, I know you're having it worse where you are than I am but it will all even out when the snow flies in a few months. I'm predicting a heavy snow fall for the winter of 2012. I hope I'm wrong cuz Lord knows I nearly left for warmer climes in AL last winter. DW has even given me her blessing to go too. Truth is DS and his have room enough for me but not my chickens so I stay. 95 here today and I'm fine with that but may not be if the water bill I just got is high. (I'm afraid to open it

).

In short, "count your blessings, count them one by one, count your blessing see what God has done, count your blessings, count your blessings , count them one by one." Words to an old song we used to sing at church.

Chin up,

Rancher (crabman) Hicks

Now look at that ...... the voice of reason. As always, Tim - your posts are always thought provoking. I did just that - I stopped for a moment and began counting my blessings. There are so many, I haven't finished! How in the world can I complain?!
Love you, Tim!
