Mars? Who cares? Look at it from a distance. Don't go messing up another planet, sheesh.

Amen Cyn. They need to take care of the planet they have. They know they cannot inhabit Mars so why the hell spend the money for the nonsense?

Sorry I am crabby today following an altercation with two racoons in my Nightie last night...on my front porch! One died and the other one will tonight. Grrrrrr. My calf looks like a war zone from the scratches. I Hate Coons!

Awwww.. You're just afraid they might find out where the Silkies home base is.

Maybe what they think is water is booze. Haven't you ever heard of " Mars Bars" ?

Help. I think I have my first egg peritonitis. I found my EE Beazely, on the perch like she never got down. She never lets herself get touched.

I got her down (2ft) , and did an internal exam. She was very very hot. Then she peed on me. I put her by the waterer. She walked back slowly to the coop and went in and to the first corner she came to. I went in to get a shot of Penicillin. Picked her up and she passed this white thing, I don't know if it was membrane or not, but it looked like egg white cooked and all rolled up. Looked like one of those white garden grubs.

She's not swollen, or panting. But between the behavior, the fever, and what she expelled, -what do you all think?

Could it be overheated?

Probably was a mass of egg material and solidified infection. Could be a salpingitis infection, which is basically an ecoli infection that forms masses like that in the oviduct when feces are sucked back down the oviduct. If it came out, that's good, meaning it won't contribute to a blockage in there, at least. Could be a sign of EYP, internal laying or both, but I'd do the penicillin for a few days and see. You may have caught an infection at the beginning, Karen.
