Hi all!.
Kathyinmo, I hope you still love your Sony camera because I've just ordered one! I was kindof surprised reading about their high rating at dpreview (.com), which included clarity and user friendliness. I love that site. How are the Emus?

I haven't seen Sp------n around. I hope she is well and enjoying life. I'd like to say "hi" to her but don't want to intrude on her privacy she may want.

Re: poor. I made good money until end of November when, after 8 years, the hospital I worked at did something really stupid, and I quit. Sometimes, self pride and self respect are more important then money. I did write a letter to the CEO, and have an appointment with him on Wednesday. I want him to know that this is a serious matter to me, and I'd him to resolve it.

In the meantime, I'm living off my rainy day fund. My DH backs me up.So, compared to a few months ago, yes I am broke. I'm actually selling off some things on Amazon and Ebay, which helps. Poor can mean rich if money is not a measure.

Kathy I know is busy and I hope doing well. She has a job and lots going on I think.

Semi - I'm sorry to hear about your job situation and hope you find another soon. I agree poor can be a relative term and most of mine are.

DW works in a hospital too and there are working conditions she's not happy with, but she perseveres since she's the main bread winner.

We are expecting some very cold weather in a few days. I'm sure I'll wish I was back in Alabama.

Syracuse??? Lake effect snow? You poor thing! I do not miss the snow/ice on LI NY where I was from. The weather in Florida here has been 75-80, some 50 degree days. Perfect weather for 8 months, then 90-95 temps and humidity for 4 months. But it's worth it for those 8 perfect months.

I don't own a gun but it seems to me in this day and age when they can tell what I buy and who I talk to, they can check to see if I'm legal. Unless of course they're to lazy.

Shucks! In the Mtns. they pass guns around like pieces of gum. You NEVER know who owns what. I really don't care as long as they leave me alone. I don't personally believe anyone needs assault weapons to hunt with though. I own a gun. Its my right. I will defend myself if needed against man or beast! If necessary. I hope never against my fellow man. I believe we need more mental healthcare. After the age of 18 no one can make a mentally ill person take his meds. even if he is hearing voices telling him to kill. He can deny it and walk. There is nothing his parents can do, his friends , law enforcement, or his Dr. There aren't enough facilities to keep them in either. Sad. Gloria Jean
