I felt one months ago and no one else seemed to; the birds were going nuts. I did report it but no idea what came of that, if anything.

Hey! I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep either. While laying in bed for 2 HOURS trying to fall back asleep, I kept hearing something outside. Kind of sounded like roosters, but my roosters dont' usually crow in the middle of the night, or at least loud enough for me to hear from the bedroom. I got up and looked out the bedroom window and didn't see anything out of the ordinary...and heard a normal soundin rooster crow in the distance. But nothing bad, just crowing.......my neighbors donkey brayed a few times up by the road (which is about 50 feet from my bedroom).....very strange.

this morning when I went out, Mr Mottled my evil bantam cochin was under the deck and his face was shredded again. Little bugger can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. My guess is that he got his butt kicked yestertday and spent the night hiding under the deck......and he was who I was hearing from the house. The deck is pretty close to the bedroom. This time his eyes were open and he was eating scratch with the other birds when I let everyone out, so I left him with the big flock. Crazy roosters.

Definitely an interesting night.

I was up about 2:30 myself, could not sleep ....ended up being up until about 5:30 or so. *sigh*

I think we all need to fix a nice hot tottie before we go to bed tonight.
