My chickens get scrambled eggs....that's it! No worms here. They get so much leftovers year round I am not concerned. Tomorrow they are going to get a pizza for breakfast. It's old but isn't growing anything, so I think it'll be alright. ha.
Forgot to mention....checked under the evil broody this morning. Had 3 eggs left with no pips. I will toss them tonight. I took 1 out to look at it and she attacked my hand and I dropped it right on the edge of the litterbox she is sitting in. SMASHed in one side of the egg. It still didn't break open though.....nice good hard eggshells there.
There was half an empty shell in her nest, so I assume the pipped egg hatched out last night. I will have to check again tonight. I would love to move her into a garage brooder.....but don't have any open! Darn it.
Nice dusting of snow this morning. Her babies were warm and toasty under her though.
Funny thing.....she now has 9 babies. Her daughter, the rir/cochin? also has 9 babies.
Very strange.
