Back to our regularly scheduled programming....

Hey all....just got into Raleigh, ate and checked in to hotel. Kathy...I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. Will be calling our pastor to have you and your daughter put on our "knee mail list"....our entire church will be praying for you. Please keep us updated

We've recently seen some miracles performed in a 6 year old that is the son of a family in our church. I KNOW GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!! I'll begin immediately and please know that you will have an "extended Georgia family" praying for you as well

I haven't been through all the posts but I trust everyone else is well.

Everyone take care and I'll try to check in when I get home tomorrow night or Saturday

My younger son (just turned 31 this month) has been accepted to teach ESL in Georgia, that is The Republic of Georgia, formerly Soviet Georgia. He will be leaving next month for a year. He has a certification called CELTA and just got the offer to go. Read about CELTA here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CELTA

, you flew right past me! Did you wave as you drove by?

BTW, where is Ladyhawk today? This is unusual that she hasn't posted on here or called me.

Trish! You sneaky little wench!!

Disregard that question in my email about screen names!

Oh that just feels so much better with proper emoticons!

Cyn, that is strange for LadyHawk not to be here. Are you going to give her a call? I hope everything is ok at her place and that she's just busy with life is all.

She's probably just chasing Severus around for some trespass or another!

Kathy? How's Brittany tonight? Hope there is some improvements for her as well.

And I KNOW it is working! It is 0130AM here, and Brittney just called to tell me ....... this means she is feeling much better ........ "Can you believe I can NOT get any sleep in a hospital? The dang toilet is flushing and flushing and flushing!" and then she giggled ! ! ! She even asked about her dog, who she loves dearly.

First thing I offered to take care of the toilet business .... I will call up there you know, or I will come up there ..... She said not to, that it was ok as they closed the bath room door. I told her I would get her into a new room. "I know, Mom, but it is really okay. I just wanted to call ya." YAY! ! ! She didn't give me any further details, just wanted to call home.

THANK YOU ALL ! ! ! My birthday is Sunday, and the best present of all would be to have my daughter home! Heck, she can even stay as long as she wants .......

Kathy so happy she is doing better...

So I'm guessing they've been giving her IV antibiotics???

It's always so touchy when there is a baby involved.

While reading at first I was worried she had salmonella, but then when you said "kidney stones"... I understood.

I've had stones three times and wished death upon myself all three times.

Here's hoping... and PRAYING.. you get your birthday wish.

you know we all love you,

Dar

Kathy! That is GREAT news! If she is giggling, she has GOT to be feeling better! Or at least the painkillers are taking effect, which will give her some rest.
How is the baby doing?

Good Morning Dellie Addicts!

Yesterday was coop and cage cleaning around here so I was busy busy. The 10' x 20', (2) 3.5' x 5.5', (5) dog crates, (2) plastic totes and I managed to get to the gym, do my floors and help hubby in the barn. We have started trying to move all of the crap in it out that was left by the previous folks. My gosh I never saw so much junk and we only got 3 of the stalls done.

On the duck front ... Sat. morning is out monthly poultry swap and those danged extra drakes are going up there once again. Hopefully, they will get a new home. My puffed up, hissing, biting Ancona hen is still on her nest and I have heard no peeping yet. I was hoping th duckies would come before the swap but...they will get here when they are ready.

On the chicken front...well Severus is just stepping into deeper and deeper. He found himself hoisted up to eye level by his neck. First he started off the day by jumping at DeDe aka the Sumo Kung Fu chicken....I pulled DeDe off of him and the foolish boy bit me and flared up which prompted my heavyweight Luna and testy BO Bella to jump on him and commence stomping a dusthole in him, so I saved him again and the fool bit me again...so I shoved him back about 3' and continued getting everyone outside for the day. The idiot tried jumping up into my arms to get to Hera (bantam cochin) so I shoved him back with my foot and he bit my shoe. Then he went after Spike (Porcelain cockerel) through the playpen wire so I picked him up and tossed him across the yard and the fool ran back at me and bit my leg so I grabbed him up by the neck to eye level and said "Knock it off dirtbag or you will be dinner tonight". Then I stared him down in his now little bugging eyes and dropped him. I did not see or hear him for several hours nor did I go looking for him. Dang I miss Thor so badly...right now my flock is being led by the head hen, Maggie a NHR, the sumo Kung Fu chicken, DeDe and the heavyweight Luna.

Kathy, I so happy your daughter is improving. She and you remain in my prayers. Thank you for keeping us posted.

Okie dokie off to read posts and wake hubby.

Great news Kathy! Yippie! She sure does sound like she is feeling better.

Cetawin, you need to drop kick Severus into next week. One of my best flock roosters is leaving today. I had wanted to sell him and his girls since I am trying to downsize but it is still sad since he does SUCH a good job with the girls. He is going to a breeding home but still.....my girls are going to be so sad. I have another head rooster staying and have a 2nd in line that will hopefully step things up a bit now that the BIG BOSS is gone. But we'll see. Big boy was too darn loud to be here and he and the other head roo were starting to argue a little bit. They got into a spat over a girl last night....it was nothing major but they seem to be happening more and more....so off he goes. I still have my young blue cochin cockerel, so may let him back out into the big yard to see if he will team up with his dad to lead the flock. Currently have a big blue cochin rooster as head of the flock and a blue wheaten ameracauna who is very timid and just coming up on maturity.....hoping he can be a good 2nd in line. All of my bantam boys are locked up except for a few young ones who are leaving this weekend. My bantam girls are thrilled to death to not have those little monsters harrassing them.
