My FIL left me his when he went to Florida. They are great! The ice will be pretty thick here too once it starts to warm up, if it ever does.

Laura, the tooth is fine, thanks! The only thing that would keep me from going south is that I don't want any flooding issues. We have to be "up" so no possibility of flooding. No way that would happen at my house here!

Thanks for the Happy Birthday for Tom. Poor guy got me a root canal for his birthday-guess I owe him!

Scott, if you see any porcelain D'Anvers (or any color) would love to see those and certainly, any Delawares, if there are any.

Warm Springs GA is also where Roosevelt's Little White House is and then there is Callaway Gardens and the Little Grand Canyon [AKA Providence Canyon]. Pine Mtn. is a very pretty area and if I remember right it is about 45 minutes north of Coulmbus.

It is snowing here. OMG, I am going stir crazy. I can not stand this..............
I want OUTSIDE ! ! !

I am shocked at all my new layers in this horrific weather. I am also worried about one of my Delawares. She has had a pale comb for a week now. Her poo is neon green, and she feels a bit thin (not alot though). I have seen her on the nest the past 2 days, and she is not laying. I just don't know what to do for her.

She is one I really really want to mate with Oliver, my first choice gal. Dang, I hope she gets better.

Kathy, sorry about your hen... how is her crop? I am sure you know more about chickens that I do. I hope she gets better.

Wait... is she the one in your avatar?

What's her abdomen feel like? Maxie began losing lots of weight and her abdomen was rock hard. I hated to lose her that way. She's the only Delaware I've had with any egg issues. Her eggs were always huge.

I think I may go to bed early. Can't stop yawning and I'm COLD!

The one in my avatar is #8 .....

The one I am worried about is #9 This is not a real good picture of her. She is quite large.

Ya know what, Cyn. It was just a few days ago I got this huge egg .... the quarter pounder from the Dels. I wonder if that is the problem. I have actually got these huge eggs quite frequently (one a day), and I have not got one since this last one.

Oh Wow that is a big egg!
She is a chunky girl. Are your chickens still white? Mine are grey from the wood ashes and the dirt in the run.
