I'm on my little ACER netbook. NO power and of course, have incubator and brooder is occupied. Generator powering the heat for the chicks and bator till it runs out of gas. Winds/rain were completely sideways. Hope power is back soon. Have to go to Chattanooga tomorrow for dentist but can't leave week old chicks with no heat. hit Tornadoes just north of us, under a watch ourselves. Sorry cant type on tiny keyboard-out of practice

Power is back after over six hours. Chicks are fine, Smoky's lone egg in the bator is fine, but I can tell there are tree limbs everywhere out there. Hope we didnt' lose part of the chicken coop roof. LH, that stupid rotten fiberglass overhang is still attached, darn it! Why couldn't it take off my porch roof so the insurance would have to pay for a new one, why? WHY?!

It was qiute a storm here but no power outage. Have you got your power back yet. Cyn.
I had a complicated root cannal today. I was in the dentist chair from 3 pm to 6:30 pm. Pshew!!! One long painful experience. The tooth was abcessed. Tomorrow I hope to feel better. I am otherwise busy cleanning coop. I think I will hire someone to dig out the covered run part and refill with washed sand.
Beth maybe on the right track about getting us a rake to run through sand to filter out the poos. Sort of like a popper scooper for a kitty pan. long handled and wider. hummm. Hope all make it threw this mucky weather. I am heading to bed full of pain med. Love all Gloria jean
