I have this little cross beaked Ameraucana (pullet). I just hate to cull her, but I just see it getting worse. So far she is eating ok, BUT....
Can you see it in this picture?

Kayson's hair looks redder and redder doesn't it? They are so sweet when they are sleeping aren't they?
I have never seen a chicken with a crossed beak before, the poor thing.
Kathy, their mama sure is pretty and that was one of my favorite aprons.

Amy, I have been wondering if the one is a roo. What do you think Kathy?

Aw, send me the crossbeak......she can live her life out at Reject Ranch. I hear you can trim the beak to help them eat and just have to supply a "deep" dish of food. I have no experience, but thats what I've heard!

Send me her and the cochin girls! LOL

Yep, you have one male and two females in the Barred Rocks.

You can most certainly have this little blue egg layer! Here is one of the Cochins. She doesn't have much "cushion," does she?

She doesn't look too bad. Large Fowl are nowhere near as round as the bantams that everyone "shows off". She is young though and it takes forever to show off type good or bad.

Either way, my current barred cochin girls are hatchery quality so she can't be worse than them!
