Guess what I'm doing this weekend? Going to my first chicken show! I am taking Mr Mottled.........had planned on bringing a mottled cochin girl but, WHAT A SURPRISE, she is broody again.

Also, assuming weather is good, am going to bring all my "extra birds" to sell. Hopefully I can make some space....since the broodies don't seem to be stopping any time soon!

NO, I am not going to sell my beloved broodies

I am going to bring my 3 extra speckled sussex cockerels, my 6 point of lay cochin mix girls, my strangely colored bantam cochin rooster (pic below) and am considering bringing all of my easter egger pullets (6 girls at about 3-4 weeks old). Plus my jersey giant/cochin PAIR.

I would LOVE to have a rooster like that ..... but not bantam sized. He is beautiful!

So far, mine are just the generic looking brown/black EEs you see very commonly. Not sure if that will change as they age? I need to stay downsized, so while they are cute and neat.......between them and the ones I am hatching out of my own stock, i would rather keep my own.

Your buff/blue girl is gorgeous!
