Yup, Suede produces some chunky kids.

Tried again with Smoky. Showed her the actual chicks. She flared up and acted like she was coming off the nest to attack, no sign of a broody hen at all. In fact, about 12:25 p.m., she got off her nest and stayed off for an hour roaming around then went back on. About 15 minutes ago, when I was letting Suede roam with Dusty and Meg, she came off again and seems to be snapping out of it entirely.

Still waiting on the two eggs in the bator to pip. Tomorrow is Day 21, but they are already in the air cell.

Waiting for LH to report in after her Dr appt.

Who is George? Any relation to the ones I have. Which by the way are now in the hoop coop. I'll be losing sleep for a while I guess. They are doing ok in every other way though i got a few bites in the move.

They are gorgeous and all mine! Muahahaha. Shame on Smoky I tried to give her the chance to be mama but there will be no killing my babies.

On the doc front....awesome doc definetly hyperthyroidism and toxiocisis ....meaning that the muscle deterioration I have been going through also affects my heart, so he is heavily mediating me ....3 pills 2x per day and a iodine drop ...2 drops per day for 10 days. No sushi, kale, seaweed or kelp until further notice. I see him in a month 9/6 ....I can only be on this medication for 18 months because of its liver toxicity. He says I am not a candidate for radioactive iodine treatment so ultimately they may just remove the thyroid surgically.

He said I cannot travel to Georgia until I see him again. Grrrrrrrr. He also said I should start feeling better in a week or so. So I shall live....told ya I was too mean to die. Ha

Well, yeah, they are related ..... they have the same father! George is my Project F1 rooster. He and his 10 girls are gonna produce (hopefully) the F2s in my Delaware project. F2s should include Delaware males.

The Delaware females will take another generation.

By the way, I have just re-sanitized and plugged in my Sportsman.

Hopefully, in three weeks, I will have a few F2s.

Well Knox in a nutshell....my thyroid is over producing T4 hormone which has basically caused thyrotoxosis (and a larger goiter in my neck ) which caused the muscle to degenerate the heart being a muscle is also affected by this...in essence the heart can deteriorate over time if it is not corrected. Also, as with any case of extreme weight loss such as anorexia or this thyrotoxosis, the organ become stressed and they must work harder to do the job they are designed to do...it can be fatal. If my thyroid's over production is not stopped, it will eventually kill me be it through literally weight loss and my organs stopping such as cardiac arrest etc etc Now as I have a living will in place, that makes it trickery for any physician who wishes to try to help by hooking me up to machines and treating me and I have no intention of rescending that living will.

So, where he would normally do radioactive radiation treatments, I am not a candidate for it because it could be too much for my system to handle. I am not strong enough for surgery so removing the thyroid is not a viable option at present. The only choice he has is to treat chemically so the issue became in what amount? They way I saw it and told him is simple...he can heavily medicate me and risk fatal complications or do nothing or mickey mouse around and it kills me....sooooo what is to lose by slamming me with medication and trying to stop my thyroid...death? Well that will happen anyway if my thyroid is not stopped so go for broke is my position.

So, where he would normally prescribed 1 pill twice per day for a bad case, he has prescribed 3 pills twice per day and the iodine drops 2 drops per day for 10 days.

As of right now, my heart is in good shape with the exception of the rapid heart rate that occurs without warning and a high pulse....the angina (chest pains) are painful but harmless with my medication so I am taking my chances with this mess and am praying the meds shock the thyroid enough to slow it down or stop it to a degree that is manageable.

Meanwhile...I am beading my christmas gifts with all haste...just in case because you never know. But really, I will be fine. I am not afraid nor do I fear dying and I really do trust me faith and beliefs and according to those I am not going anywhere.

I do not like the tremors in my hands though...makes beading interesting. hahahahaha

Here is some info for you...also you can check it out at Webmd.com I think it is....Hyper makes too much and causes weight loss Hypo does not make enough and causes weight gain
