Hey Georgians...thought I would let you in on some good info as early voting as began....

There is a dear friend of mine running for the State Senate in the Great State of Georgia and she is a good one....she just gave a heads up on your ballots...to quote her

"Have you read the sample ballots? There are questions on the ballots that propose changes to the Georgia Constitution. Please be sure to INFORM yourself about them because they WILL give us higher taxes, grow government, hurt terminated employees going to work for a competitor and put additional environmental codes on Georgians."

Diana is a mother and grandmother and a great lady who is running because she is tired of the ways have been going and she is setting out to change them. She is running in District 43, Republican. She was a pilot for a major airline and currently she currently works in commercial aviation as an instructor and flight safety professional. She is a Midwestern native with Midwestern conservative values and has called Georgia her home for over 10 years.

I usually do not back political candidates but knowing this one personally, I can tell you if she is elected, Georgia is indeed a lucky state.

Before anyone asks...No she did not ask me to promote her, I am just telling my friends in Georgia that they have an honest hard-working woman on their ballot.

I stepped outside about 7 o'cllock this evening to check on the wayward feathered children and as suspected, they were up to no good.

The Sumo Kung Fu chicken, DeDe was across the road, bad girl bad bad bad! Thankfully we have little to no traffic past out house except our one set of neighbors and they look for chickens and ducks when they come through. She even stops and chases them back into the yard while scolding them. hahahaha

Cannonball was up to no good, she was stalking the cat's tail

Fattie was coming up to help stalk the cat but I shoo'ed her back off the porch

Severus was on the porch watching the women get into stuff and doing nothing about it

DeDe and Molly came back from their trip across the road to see if I had treats and acting completely innocent of any wrongdoing

A couple days ago before I got sick, I got a cute pic of Sarah's two foals (Soapy and Zen's Last Voyage) meeting one of the big horses...big horse was mean to the babies and chased them away which resulted in big horse getting a smack on the muzzle from me for trying to bite the babies

HI everyone! I missed you all..... WHEwwww, what a long drive! I ended up with 700 miles all together. Quite eventful few days. First, while I was gone, little Miss Black Silkie girl hatched out her eggs .... every one of them! She has 5 new babies, and DD added 2 more (that hatched a week ago in the bator). So, mama is happy with 7 new babies tucked under her.

I got 3 Barred Rock trios from Jeremy Woeppel (XW Poultry Ranch in Chambers Nebraska). He got his stock from Frank Reese of Kansas last year. This is told to be the oldest known real Heritage flock in the USA (from 1920). I am very excited to have these YELLOW LEGGED Barred Rocks! The legs are so yellow, they are almost orange .... actually, they look like the color of the line in the highway.

I go through Kansas City to home, so I took a short detour (hmmm, about 25 miles) and picked up some REAL Coronation Sussex chicks, from Lawrence Kansas (Jenn, revolutionmama). If she isn't the cutest LITTLE thing you ever did see! Tiny girl, she is. Anyway, I do have my pure Coronations now.

I am soooo happy to be home. I got home in time to tuck in all the chickens, too. Everyone roosting now. It got dark early tonight .... gonna rain again.

Yay for real coronations!

Kathy I am so sorry about picking all boys for you, I really did look at each one and try to pick girls too.

Sarah wanted one of the boys and realized after they had left, I had sent them both. hahahaha

Ahhh, heck .... no problem. You did your best, and that is all I asked.

I planned to cross some of them with my English Orps anyway, so it will work out. It will just take a little longer to make some American Lavenders. I will put those boys on my black Orps, and then mate the chicks back to the daddy. They are gonna be nice birds. The blacks are looking especially fluffy and nice, I believe.

Guess what I am getting all my kids for Christmas ..... one REAL computer for each household. Heck with those stupid laptops they have!

The younger grandkids are all just now learning to use a computer, too .... so, it should work out well.

Well, I have been called worse!

Do you have a laptop? I swear, ya can't even see pictures well .... the screen is so small, and I really could not figure out that no mouse thing ..... OMG was that a pain! One son did have a real mouse to navigate, which helped. I just gave up and said I would check my emails when I get home!

Now I just hope there is a great sale on computers before Christmas.......

I can't believe how much the 2 chicks with the EE mama have grown in the days I was gone! Holy cow!

Look at the YELLOW legs on these Rocks!

Yes we have three laptops and a desktop of husband's that needs rebuilding. My laptop (a Dell XPS) has a 17" screen which is nice, I am putting a new hard drive in it so currently I am on Cheyenne's laptop which is a compaq. I use an external mouse, I hate the laptop mouse.

Wow those are some yellow legs! hehehehehe
