I am home...I am hurting...I am not taking pain meds...I did take anti-inflammatory for swelling..but these 4 were really bad for some reason...the flip your stomach makes you want to choke the dentist and his favorite pet type of bad. *sigh* I am taking Cheyenne to the library, coming home and going to bed...I hope to sleep.

No kidding! I'll probably lose Nelda by morning. Maxie seems better, but her breath still smells a bit sour and her belly is still rock hard. At least her crop isn't bloaty.

Thanks for asking Scott, I still feel like crap. Maybe we should all just sit at the computer at the same time and have a good stiff something or other. Except I don't like anything EXCEPT wine and liqueurs.
I am glad you have a job or sorts- you are right, something is better than nothing, absolutely!
Cetawin, why won't you at least take a tylenol or something? I have taking drugs, too, but gosh, girl, 4 teeth?
I am sorry for Nelda and Maxie, Cyn - this is so sad.

Just to add to all the rotten news- the vet called today, and Zeke has a malignant melanoma- so we will be counting the days. Right now he is still fairly perky and normal, so I hope we have a bit more time with him -

Thank you, Bill, that's very sweet of you! I think I'll live. Today was very stressful and I have a cough that kicks up lots lately. Maybe I'll sleep in later tomorrow.

Beth, I am so so sorry about Zeke

I did take an 800mg Motrin/Ibuprofen but the problem is that I am allergic to Codeine so most of the painkillers prescribed short of morphine can really wipe me out...I mean I can take 1/2 a perocet and within 3 mins of swallowing it I am vomitting violently. So far, I have been able to take 1/4 - 1/2 of vicodin and only get nauseous and dizzy...so if it gets too bad, I will do that. I just hate feeling loopy after I wake up and feeling sick while I am awake. One thing about pain...it reminds us we are still alive. So there is a positive thing from it. Yes?


Cyn, I am sorry I had to have the child human call but I promised to call and I just could not speak enough to be understood. I am so saddened at this news of Nelda.

I have some liquer Frangelica here Beth..come join me...if that fails then we go to the yager or Captain Morgans.

Cetawin, you will be happy to know that i have FINALLY got 'your' broody girl into a safe brooder. I have been *gulp* just letting her sit in one of the garage nestboxes....which is open to the great outdoors......i went through and cleaned out ALL the garage brooders tonight, got 3 of them nice and fluffed up with fresh shavings and moved her into one of the 2x8 brooders. It should be perfect for her until she is done sitting.

She gets the bottom level of this brooder.

My little 1 eyed dellie/rock boy gets the top level. I really need to figure out what to do with him. Sigh.

The shredded rooster got moved to the top level of the 4x6 brooder shed. Seems happy enough......he was happy as can be when I realized I ran out of chicken food and filled his feeder up with a boss/scratch mix. You should hear him clucking to the girls....he might look a bit ouchy, but he sure is feelin' good.

Is it Friday yet? Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
