OK, real quick: Mama and the girls are home with me, safe and sound and settling in. I need to get right back out there and finish up the last few things out there so that they remain that way, even through Elk season! So, pictures and story later tonight! [hopefully] Y'all take care. LH, glad to hear you didn't have any really big damage!

Oh, and yes, Mama and the littles were well provisioned for their trip. They really must have enjoyed their sweet potato as there was nothing but skin left to that! and as near as I can tell, most of the apple as well!

Speaking of building....I am going to assume lack of pictures means lack of brooder building? Did the storm blow away your enthusiasm already?

that reminds me I a stand still in the box I need to stain and put together. Only been there for four years. Man am I behind.

We are putting the primer on them now. I am gonna use linoleum on the floor portion. YAY!!! They will be done tonight (I hope) ....

I have 10 chicks here, and they will be the first occupants! I have to make sure there is no paint odor or anything.

Weather forecast for tonight is the coldest of the season, down into 30s. YUK .... Today was beautiful, except for a bit of wind. Rain coming in a day or so.
