I am packing, getting ready to drive 300 miles in the early morning. (thank goodness my car has heat) I hope 2 cages are enough, cuz that's all I'm taking. Mike said, "You are not buying more chickens, right?" I said, "Well, I am going to a show, not a swap." Now, that's not a lie.

Which reminds me. I did get some cute pictures of Maggie and the twins around bedtime tonight. But kids, I've been up since 4:00 AM and it's time to get to bed myself. Oh Kitchen Cabinets we can do a set of those Amy...heck woman I can build them for you. Believe or not I did hold a General Contractor's license and took building trades and carpentry in HS...made two sets of kitchen cabinets and sold them.

But I would prefer just to buy you a set with my winnings.

I hate formica glue.

I hope most of you can see this video but it brought tears to my eyes....happy ones...the love and trust of a pony with its toddler....unbelievable

Beth, we're hunting ELK! This is the last weekend of the season.

And then that's it. No more deer or elk hunting for the year.

But then, there's tons of pheasant and other upland bird hunting to do. Oh! And let's not forget coyote season!! [November 1 to October 31

] We've seen quite a few this year. I'm thinking the population needs a serious culling. How do y'all think I'd look in a full length coyote skin coat? Their hides are looking quite full and luxurious this year....mute testament to how bad winter will be this year?

OK kids. Gotta get new dressings on Evie's foot before we head out and the rest of the babies taken care of. Moving real slow this morning and I haven't even made my sandwich to take with yet!

Well I didn't read all the other posts, I'll never catch up and at my age I only have so much time.
Anyhow I swear my older del girls are better layers than any of my other older girls. That includes, Dom, cm, glw, and the bo's who are going to turn two in feb. I'm getting ready to hatch more chicks and when spring come the others are history.

Know why I like BYC, cuz everyone, well ok some, here understand my chicken love illness. No one on this side does. Why do people have to question why I'm hatching chicks and what are you going to do with them, n just a bunch of stupid questions? They're chickens that's why! My SIL has cabinets full of dolls and I'll bet none of them come running when she comes into the room or ever laid and egg. Well maybe the "Chuckie" doll does.
