So I have one a bit into the hatching process... its shrinkwrapped though. I had the bator plugged in and the channels filled with water to see how it does, and its kept temp for the last 2 days. I put the baby in wrapped in a wet towel. That'll help, right? Its still cheeping and moving

Ok well I guess I got my own answer... chick is already a little bit farther out of the shell... membrane is more moistened now and loosened up

Just placed the Dellie chick in with a bunch of other chicks and it seems to be settleing in just fine. Amazing the difference in the size of the Dellie and the just hatched buckeyes that are its new brothers and sisters. By this time next wk I should have a bunch more little dellies to go along with it as well.

Now off to finish building the new brooder box, babies have to have a place to live. I'll take some pic once I have them all out of the hatcher and in the brooder.

Dumb question, but which is bigger? Thank you for giving her a home. She was really wanting buddies, we could tell by how she kept sitting by her reflection in the mirror.

Nick, I think Cassidy is a very pretty name. My girl was very sweet and I wish she had lived longer.

yes, it is! Sorry about her.

Well, apparently my broodies have been working overtime cooking those babies. Just checked underneath both girls...just under the front of their chest. Each has AT LEAST 2 babies already completely hatched underneath. Should be a great hatch. Super cute babies so far too. Both moms were quite hateful sounding but didn't attack me. Can't wait to see them with their babies!

ALSO, i'm sure you all will be happy to know i finally installed my traction tape on the back steps LOL. I did 2 x 24" strips down the middle of all steps except the top one got a single strip the entire length of the step. Should be awesome! I still have almost a whole roll left, so may add a few more strips here and there.

I called her Kathy but have no idea if she got the message...when, if she can still get them or or or

Beth when she started telling Lori "Oh look midget ducks and only $10, I have $10 and look bunnies only $10 and look" Lori said "Call your mother". I told her no midget ducks, no geese, no chickens, no bunnies even if they were pink with purple polka dots, no goats, no turkeys, no guineas no notta nothing coming home! hahahaha

The two girls hit it off great and had a blast...they are already making plans for a summer trip to Dollywood...Lori I believe was thinking a weekend visit from Cheyenne and Cheyenne told her she would come for a couple of weeks.
