Oh Cetawin! Part of me so wishes you hadn't posted pictures of Thor!

I miss him too, and I never even had the honor of meeting him. But, his legacy lives on in you and your memories of Thor. Without you and Thor, there would be no Chief, Brutus, Red or CB, for I never would have known just how magnificent and loving these creatures can be. And I never would have put in the effort to have such wonderful boys for myself. You and Thor were my template, my goal, my inspiration. Thank you dear lady! Because of you, I have ROOSTERS!!!!

Having said all of that, a large part of me is very glad you posted pictures of him today Cetawin. He was such a magnificent boy. Certainly a little man to be very proud of. And it always fills my heart with joy to be reminded of just how wonderful he was. So keep those pictures and the memories of Thor coming LH! It does him great honor to be remembered so!

I wish everyone could have met him Amy....Scott and Lori got to meet him...Lori met him when he was at his greatest...a week before he died. He was so spectacular.

My photo storage here on BYC s 87% full and most of them are pictures of Thor or with him in it, I have not had the heart to delete any of them...even the ones of him in the incubator right after hatching.

I am so glad you have your boys...boys are so special.

I can hardly wait to see pictures of Mr. Eli. We need to take a look, as I know he is seeking our approval. Brittney's boyfriends always loved that she had 4 older brothers, besides her daddy, that had to approve.

WOOOHOOOO, Beth is gettin' ready to hatch up a storm!

BEAUTIFUL day here today, around 70*. I about had heart failure when somebody here let the Barred Rocks out. I told them all a couple days ago not to let them out ..... they are going WAY down to the water and WAY over to near the neighbors pen of hunting dogs. I searched and searched and and searched. I finally found them.............. right next to the dang dog pens!

Went and saw Harry Potter Thursday night. Awesome!! Have been exposed to Whooping Cough this week and guess who hasn't been vaccinated for it do to allergic reaction as a baby. Got the chicken barn straightened up and am ready for the new round of eggs to hatch in 2 weeks. I have 6 GLC bantam eggs on thier way here next week and have checked into a few turkey eggs, lol.

good job brandon! i like it.

today did not go as planned.......i got all my lumber last night....and then got up today and spent 3 hours cleaning the carpet in my bedroom instead. lol.....whoops? got everything unloaded and went to go buy chicken feed and dog food and got that all unloaded. pretty sure its naptime now lol

planning on doing some hutch building tonight. have been cleaning out 'old food' today and my chickens look like they are going to explode....an entire loaf of wheat bread, a medium pizza...oink oink oink.....tomorrow they'll get some hamburger buns, english muffins and a pumpkin. buffet at nellabeans house!

NellaBean...my girls go nuts when I clean out the frig....a couple days after Beth was here for dinner, I still had a huge amount of mashed baked sweet potatoes so I warmed them up, put a tad of butter on them, threw in the mixed veggie remainders, some rolled oats and I forget what else...I stepped off the porch and yelled "Biggie Girls" and braced myself for the impact...DeeDee about knocked the bowl out of my hands trying to stand on the side of the bowl and Fattie with Cannonball were in the bowl itself....did you know the orange stain from sweet potatoes takes awhile to disappear? I had orange delawares for a couple of days...even DeeDee's face was orange.

Edited to add...Kathy check out Stoffers' Corner Bistro ... I had one today that was cheddar and broccoli soup with a steak and swiss pocket. It was really good....not enough for dinner but great for a quick lunch...despite my size I really do eat a lot. LOL

I am so stupid. I do not keep records on my Silkies, because ..... well, just because ...
So, I am now getting Silkie eggs, and I don't even know WHO is laying, AND I don't even know the sexes of the said 4 (2 buff, 2 black).

I do know I also have one mama (black) with 6 baby blues (not pictured).

ETA: Oooppppps, the first 2 are the same buff. I guess I only got pictures of the one buff...
