Kathy......check with Purina/Layena......one of the ladies up in the Northeast got a quote to have it delivered to her door. I think it ended up being $10/bag. Considering the number of birds you have, it may be something to check into.

Do you have no mills that will do your own blend? And buy by the ton or something?

eta, here is the link to the post that was made about getting layena direct

Are you talking about $20 for 50lb or 100lb bags? I've never even seen 100lb bags.........my pricing is for 50lbs..

I have considered getting some big barrels and buying by the ton.......but its just easy to grab bags when you need them.

I'm going through about 2 x 50lbs a week, not including baby feed or scratch.

I am talking about eggs to eat, not to hatch .... I very rarely sell any hatching eggs ..... rarely!

Ok to answer the questions....ahem

No I do not play the banjo, Yes I live in the sticks; it is easier to hide bodies that way, and courtesy of Scott, I know I live in a dry county...

I am uploading pics of her now...she has done a meet and greet with my neighbor's mares and foal, pranced for their stallion with a pure Diva prance that said "Ha You Can't Touch This!"...we have found out she does not like windmills or red dogs. LOL

I fed her dinner and am letting her be until morning...she is settling in fine and has rolled in the mud a couple of times. But she waited longer than I thought she would when she was off the trailer. Cheyenne was taking pics and she forgot to take any until I had Jo in her paddock. Silly girl.

Will update with pics in a few minutes.

Here are some pictures from today.

First of all, my "sick lounge". The computer wasn't being used at the time.

The two eggs I got from today. They were layed in the same next box, at the same time LOL. It was very funny to watch.

The eggs I've gotten since yesterday. (See, I DO need more chickens! Always an excuse, right?

LH she looks quite happy and content!!

Put your feet up and get a "medicinal beverage"...the worrying is over and looks like she did good. I know you'll enjoy her and she will be well cared for

Just got in from feeding/watering here. COLD and windy, spittin' rain. I think its time for a fire and a glass of vino

Have a great evening
