LOL, yes she is definitely saying "excuuuuuuuuuse me, it still has feathers! I can't work like this!"
Speaking of feathers......all broody/baby combos seem to be doing well. The broodyless batch is growing and looking great. Does seem to be 3 girls, 3 definite boys and 1 iffy. Iffy looks a little too beetle sheen black to be a girl, but we'll see....Silkie babies are doing good and getting big....RIR/Cochin babies are doing good and getting big. She is still protective over them, but I am considering booting her out to the yard and combining them and the broodyless batch together. Then they will all get to share the big brooder and that will be some good integration out of the way early on. I probably should go ahead and do the same with the silkie babies....but the mommas are so cute with their kids. Hmmmmmm........
My one brooder with the teenagers and the loofah cochin has lice/mites though. Ergh.....I dusted them a few days ago and probably need to dust them again.....Sigh. Just on their neck/beard area. Weird. Stupid bugs.
Working on trying to adopt a senior dog for christmas. Because, er....my current 4 dogs aren't enough LOL. There is a senior shepherd mix down near Atlanta in a rescue who had been severely neglected, probably for years. She looks just like my "old dog" and I think would fit in well here. We'll see! Might be cruising down to Atlanta in the near future......
