Look at this little egg I got today. I think I have a new (Marans) layer in the coop!

I have never tried it. Barred Rocks are easy to sex so never had the need; I understand the birds must be bred for that trait. Saw someone said that it doesn't work at all on D'Uccles, but then, they show themselves quite early on anyway.

Brandon...sweetie about those Suede Babies Don't Even Think About It ... they are mine mine mine

do you see that blueberry pancake that boy is eating and feeding those girls? I sent them to him and I even baked for him and drove the goodies there. I want those babies. But I might...just might let you have an extra girl but not until I get my Sons of Suede and a couple girls and my June baby girl...now if it is a boy, you can have him

Want a cat? I can give you one of those instead

Janelle....you and Lori watch the weather for this weekend... snowing tonight through Wednesday. I have not left my house in days...couldn't even if I wanted to.

Never tried feather sexing. I'm pretty good at pulling out the "obvious" boys and girls if they are all the same breed....I got a batch of day olds from a hatchery in may 09....guessed every one correctly! I am a winner like that.

Actually I believe there were was 1 I was iffy on....and she ended up being a girl.

I tend to keep them all until its obvious, so don't bother with worrying about the sex early on. I like to guess anyways......

Oh LH I can wait my turn. I don't need any more Roos at this house. I'm pretty sure that the majority of the last two hatches is overrun with them. I would just love to have one of Suedes girls. Also if Kathy's oreo chicks turn out to be girls I would love love love to have one.
