Well I am back home finally....it is snowing to beat the band out there...now way were we making it to the post office. So here is what happened....
First the receptionist yelled at me "Where have you been? Why have you lost more weight? He will not be happy, sit down and I will tell him your are here"
Billing clerk and usually sweet gal comes out to go to mailbox and sees me, instantly turning into a raving shrew "WHERE have you been? It has been 2 months at least and why are you skinnier than when you left here last? Dr. Carter will not be pleased and I am going to tell him myself in just a minute"
Dental Tech comes to door and calls my name, I stand up and she starts in on me...."Why have you not been back? How much weight have you lost? nevermind I will weigh you myself, come along. Dr. is going to be ticked off when he gets a look at you now step on this scale, oh lovely look at that 87 lbs, you have lost 8 lbs well you can explain it to him come along"
she sits me in the chair and everytime I try to explain she says "explain it to him because he is gonna have a fit"
Dentist comes in and says "Well Well Mrs. Smith, 87 lbs are we? You were supposed to have been back here over 2 months ago and now you are smaller than you were before. 2 teeth hurting are they? Well let me see but first stand up" I looked at him like he had lost it but stood up and he started in on me again about my weight and blah blah.
Then he looks at the bottom two that are hurting and says....I give 2 ampules to kids up to age 14 and you are no bigger than they are so, you are gonna feel some of the procedure. I am doing your impressions, making your top temporary denture, pulling the top three teeth and these two bottom ones and you will get no more than 3 ampules of local and you'd best hope that is enough because you are getting no more.
Soooooo I go back at noon tomorrow if the roads are clear enough to get to Lexington, get 5 teeth pulled, 3 top, 1 lower right and 1 lower left and get a top plate slapped in so I should be a real joy tomorrow evening.
Finally, I told him about the nasty sinus infection I had been through and about my sister...he softened a little after that and he understood that I could not eat properly and thus the weight loss but he was still on my case about the weight. So, I promised him if he would fix my dental problems, I would fix the weight problems. Sooooo that is the deal. Anyone got 5 grand I can borrow in the next 6 months? LOL
