Slow going this morning for Tom after setting the foundation of the new coop yesterday. He does what he has to then takes a week to recover. My arms and shoulders just ache.

I have two Dellies in the brooder, one from Georgie and one from Ellie. Today is Day 22 and one more Ellie and one more Georgie egg are pipped, but nothing yet from the last Georgie egg or Miranda's. Candled and saw movement in both, but you know that you can have that and the egg never pip. Hoping for the best, though.

Off to get coffee.

Not necessarily, not unless the chick had a barred mother and a solid color daddy. If Chief was the daddy, they'd all have head spots, most likely. Riley did. There's hope!



Nick, that is great! If you could get pic of the kids, showing combs and/or the back area, but not too close, maybe 2-3 ft away, I'm sure the boys will be more obvious now. Of course, I'm already sure of Jay-Z

My Zane is a class unto himself, that is for sure. Sweetest rooster on the planet, that boy! That boy deserves a better life than what he was dealt at a young age.

Just going by what the genetics experts told me when I was asking about the Del/Orp crosses I had. And it proved correct.
