We got an incredibly good piece of news yesterday, and real quick, I wanted to share it with y'all. Our Annie has received the "Governor's Scholarship Award"!!!!! wee This is a four year, full ride scholarship that is awarded to only the very best of kids in foster care guardianships, which Annie is, on account of her parents being mentally challenged. Our sweet little Annie, who has kept her nose to the grindstone since she was in elementary school, and who has maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout middle school and high school, is one of only 50 students who will be receiving this scholarship. Nick, even when the original 2.22 acres wasn't fenced off, they couldn't go down there. It's a hike down the mountain from me. They rarely even venture as far as the perimeter fence.
Oh, ETA: LH, Smoky's egg is finishing up Day 11 and it has a bouncing baby chick in there! That hen is just odd. I picked her up today and she screeched loudly, then as I carried her into the coop, she screeched again, then again when I put her down. Such a drama queen!
