Cyn,
Best wishes for Charlotte. Hope she gets better or goes quickly, for your sake.
I met up with Jenn (revolutionmama) today. We live about 125 miles apart, so we met half way and made some trades. I have other Sussex birds from her, and I just adore them. Today I got Buff Sussex and Red Sussex. I can hardly wait to see them grown. She also gave me a care package; a cool bag totally filled with great stuff. She is a sweetheart, that girl! Wish you all could meet her. She and ChooksChick live near each other, and they just have tons of fun chicken projects in the works. Lucky girls! I envy them living so near each other and being able to rely on each other. What fun!
Beautiful day today, around 75*. Tomorrow is to be above 80 but windy, and I hope to get some outside work done. The grow-outs are, well, growing! and I see some Dels that I think are looking pretty good. My New Years Day hatch chicks are really looking great, too! I absolutely love the BCMs I hatched from Luanne's eggs. They are not only gorgeous, they are also very sweet and friendly. The 4 Cochin girls I hatched are sure getting fluffy. Boy, did I get lucky or what (getting all 4 female!) ! ! !
My brooders are full, but they empty out pretty regularly. This last hatch was done on a Friday, so I could not ship out. That was so stupid of me to set them at that time. I am back on schedule now. I was looking at my pen of little Easter Egger pullets, and see some really cute colors beginning to appear. Our oldest girls here are our 2 Easter Eggers. Today they were up at the house checking out the new baby. This is the first time we had Kayson outside, and the girls were very curious. Mike was holding Kayson and I swear those EE girls were jealous. They wanted lap time, and that baby was in their way!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
