Hello this is your friend Knox typing from Death valley today! I lost my precious little Babe this morning. She was a spring hatch of my lil secret Delaware - cochin project teehee. Anyways she feathered out but never really gre - she was about the size of a japanese bantam. I do feel there was always sometihng wrong with her. I am sure she was blind as she constantly walked into the fence - yuor leg etc. And her eyed were kind of glaxed over with this greyish cast. But she loved to be held and when you picked her up she she jsut snuggled her little head into my chest. I knew she wouldnt make it. Last night when closing things up i found her out in the driveway wondering around, How she got there i will never know. But i picked her up - she nuzzled and put her in the growout coop as usual. I opened up this morning and she was gone - I will miss her and her lil misfit toy ways. Why do i always fall for the misfits ? RIP Babe -
sorry for whining - just feels better typing it out to people who wont think i am nuts for being sad over the loss of a blind chicken!

Laura..yes she is still pathetic yesterday while talking to Cyn I told Junebug I was gonna take her back to Georgia. LOL I tell her every day when I put her in the temporary pen that "you can eat and drink then die, I will come back for your body later okay?" pfffttttttt silly bird.
