Yeah, there seem to be a few little red combed attitudes there, but ...are we SURE a silver columbian female would be all white? Could she have the odd feather or two? And if nothing else, you could save the best two males and see if the rest of us get any pullets. Nothing like shipping birds around the country to get this project completed!!!

I still say you should keep a few of the odd ones just in case. You could have the MOST BEAUTIFUL CHICKEN ALIVE but you won't know cause you aren't keeping them. Just keep like 5.

Beth, Yes, I was told that the Silver Columbian would look like a white chicken. So, sure on that one.

Mrs. Kathy you might try and surprise him with a PM and ask him how he is coming up with all black = pullets only, and then tell him you want proof

He may know something we don't yet, as he's a pretty smart cookie on these type situations.

I'm not going to start stirring in the pot again. I had a stink all brewed up last time I delved off into this stuff. I'm just going to have to find out in person, and hopefully that'll be sooner rather than later on.

Well, ya know, Jeff, having used Barreds, I would think that somewhere in this project there would likely be a sex link. Maybe this is it. Oh, of course..... I didn't get very many pure blacks. Got alot of Barreds (dot on head) though!
