Well, see.... I was thinking going green. Ya know, use them for groceries and such, instead of the plastic bags from the store. Maybe not, huh?

I have a gazillion bags. Actually, I have thrown out a gazillion, and still have more.

Kathy....sorry, but NO WAY me or the boys would use something like those. I LOVE my pink shirts, but ain't no way I'm carrying one of those or the new fangled "european shoulder bags".....NOT!

Give me a plastic bag from Wally World or a camo duffle and all is good

And this will last you HOW LONG????!!!!!

Well, I use at least 50 pounds a day. Naturewise is a rip off with only 40 pound bags. I only get it for the marigold extract benefit. I mix it with Gamebird Conditioner, a little scratch, BOSS, and very little Calf Manna.

Amen Cyn.....I think I pay $10 +/- for the Tucker Milling 16% layer and $11 for the 22% Super Layer, both 50# bags. I did buy whole feed oats the last trip and they were over $14 for 50#. Dang glad I ain't feeding horses!!

Nella, you might be young and mean, but I am chubby and wily and would squash you flat in a second.

Ummm- those totes. I suspect if I offered one to DH he would get that wild eyed look and run in the opposite direction. Personally I do not like the crackling effect of those bags. I reuse them as garbage bags in the barn.

Egad, Kathy, and I was whining over my feed bill.....I will shut up forever. Downsize, woman. Give me ALL those NH pullets and some Oliver daughters!

Oliver's 3 hens are molting, so no eggs. The pullets I won't hatch from, because I have not culled yet. It will be awhile before any Oliver offspring are available.

I also have not culled the New Hampshire pullets. I am just not sure how I want to do that. I am thinking of 2 possibilities with them, meaning 2 pens. Oh, and I have that other shipment of New Hampshires due in soon. That will be yet another pen.

Time to CULL, CULL, CULL ! ! ! !
