Kathyinmo, your educational pages are wonderful. I esp like the troubleshooting page about death. I have thought about this for a long time, I think my auto turner auto everything bator is not positioning the eggs well. Even those JG eggs I got from you, one was breech (but lived)from the same bator. This time I had 3 late deaths, incl.one that pipped and died.

I never had these problems when I hand turned. I have one of those auto turners now, and the eggs are always horizontal or pointy side up and I have to rearrange them. So, based on some of what I read on your page about malposition, and what I had a feeling about, I am going to go back to turning my eggs by hand. I can keep the round end up that way.

About your pages;, I think you have a real good idea there listing them in your signature-I think more people will see your pages due to how many times you post (LOL), and not stuck somewhere where you have to hunt for it.

hahaha.... I put them there so I don't have to search for them! I am easily lost in this big ol' new BYC world.
Thank you! They have helped me alot, so I thought others would get some benefit from them, too.

Jeremy, I love Ethel! One day, I must have an Ethel since my favorite aunt was named Ethel. I miss her. Love those Delaweggers! June makes awesome ones with Isaac. I also like your new title; at least, I think it's new. Good mantra there.

Karen, yes, when I get that one quilted, it will be put up for auction, I think. I need the $$ anywhere I can get it these days. Do you like it?

Well, yes, Miranda has good taste. Ike likes her, too, but he absolutely loathes the Barred Rock hens. I hate to see what's going to happen when I give him Wynette, Dottie and Ida in a couple of weeks. Gosh, Ida is big enough, she could almost go in with Suede, but his coop isn't large enough for another big butt woman.

I wanted to share some pictures of my newest addition, a Delawegger we've named Ethel. She's the result of a Del roo over a Wheaten Ameraucana hen, she lays a very pretty pale olive green colored egg. I'm pretty smitten with her.

Of course her personality is just like a Delaware... always right underfoot.

Wait til Amy sees her! She is gonna love Ethel ! !
She is planning to make a bunch of Delaweggers from Wheaties and Dels!

Gotta love those Delaweggers! LH's daughter of June and Isaac, Junebug, is flirting with Suede and Meg's son, Hector. She's got a thang for that redheaded Suede lookalike.

I just think Ethel is one of the prettiest ones I've seen.

Kathy, when the Suedenator goes to that Great Roost in the Sky, I have plans to tear down that building and eventually build a nice barn behind the garden. No addition onto that thing.

Karen, I'm glad you like the wallhanging/table topper. It shouldn't take very long to quilt it if I can get started this weekend.
