Yes. Actually, I work both shifts. We have 12 hour shifts, and I usually do one of each, each week.

This is my new one, not the top of the line, but WAY better than what I have:

That looks almost exactly like mine, except mine is a glass top electric. I hate electric ranges. This is the first time for me, and I miss my old gas range. Can't have one here. We have propane.

I hate electric, too, but we have no choice. No propane. Gas companies here have a minimum and won't fill a 100 lb gas bottle just for cooking. Have to have electric. I love gas cooking-real cooks use gas.

Hard to find coil top stoves now. We hate smooth tops--too expensive to fix if they go bad and cast iron skillet would scratch the heck out of that.

It's just not fair. We should be able to have gas!

I use my iron skillet on my glass top. I know.... I know.... I know......
I do it anyway.

Then again, I don't cook much anymore either.

Kathy I do 2 -12 hour nights a week, and that knocks me out for the whole week! Working nights just zaps all the energy out of you. I can sleep all day and all night, no problem.

I have a glass top (builder's special) and I wouldn't buy another one. . I would also like to toss DH's teflon frying pan out. I have a canary and he recently burned a pot but it was a copper bottom.

Well, if I ever have to buy another range, they probably won't make coil tops anymore. I'll have to go to smooth top if I still live here. Sigh. It's like cars-a regular old mechanic can't work on them anymore without a computer, sheesh. It's a conspiracy!
