Laura, I have always loved that tumbling block and all 3D type patterns. They amaze me. I try to add that look into my beadwork when it comes to animals such as the Suede project.

Zena is precious! I have a boatload of eggs from Suede's pen and as soon as this hatch is done, I'll clean out the bator and have them in there, even though I swore no more hatching, but dang it, MEG AND DUSTY ARE LAYING! We can't pass that up, just in case fertility is back in somewhere! I'll add Snow's since she is laying again after about a year and Ike actually managed to mate her finally, plus one or two of June's.

Get some of those white fabric pieces (forgot what they are called) that you can run through the copy machine. Then, use your butterfly fabric and make copies of it.

Ummm, no.

I live in the middle of nowhere, I doubt that I could find that stuff if I wanted too.

I have decided to use the solid background.

I think I like the effect of the tumbling blocks on the solid background best. The butterflies, while very pretty, is just too distracting. Just my humble opinion. Considering how new I am to this quilting madness, my opinion shouldn't be taken too seriously just yet!

LH, you better be careful in posting so many adorable videos of Zena. If I'm ever in the neighborhood, I just might swipe her!

Zena is a mess! I have never heard of an Orpington drama queen behaving like her. She is so affectionate. She even pecks at DHs toes when he is barefoot on the porch to try to get picked up by him.

If you live in a place like I do, with no big fabric shops, you should order from www.thousandsofbolts.com. You can order, then call in your credit card number to them. Their service is great and their fabric is top quality. I use them all the time when I can't find anything locally. They always have sales on different things and the prices are good for the quality, most things around $5/yard unless it's a quilt back or specialty fabric.

Seminolewind, here are the pics of those cups and filters

They have two layers and water flows between them and into the cup through the two holes. The float valve is between the two layers on the inside of the cup so it fills back up when it reaches a certain level automatically. The threaded end goes into whatever container you are using with the nut and filter on the inside. A close up the removeable filter is in pic two. You can unscrew it, rinse it and put it back.





Lancelot and Leaza (If her eggs hatch it should be interesting. He is a blue orp of course but she is a black mottled who carries the lavender gene as well as she is half lavender)



Hector and you can see my poles in for the runs which are 6' 8" wide and 30' long...seven of them. Now if the rain will stop we can get some more work done on them. I also have 7 chainlink gates here to go on them.
