I feel a little queasy tonight. I think I'm off to bed in a few minutes.

They're really cute. I wonder if chocolate is one of those colors that pictures just don't do justice to, maybe. I can't get a handle on what they really look like. Some pics look different than others. I know there are breeds that I never really liked in photographs, then when I saw them in person, I changed my mind. Could be that color is the same.

I have been coop cleaning, and am very happy to be finished!

Hey, Kathy, I'm here! Been working on Ellie's quilt. I estimated it would take about 100 quilted holly leaves of the size I'm using. Have done 60 so far and have just started row #5 of the 8 rows of blocks, so I'm not too far off on my guesstimate.

Riley isn't doing well. She isn't eating. Won't come down the ramp first thing in the morning. When she does, she doesn't go back inside to eat. I'm making her eggs and pulling her out of the group to give her some nutrition. I have no idea how long she'll be with us.

On a positive note, Tom said he couldn't feel that hard thing in Caroline crop this morning!

She is still way too thin so there is something off still, but the crop isn't a problem.

Nugget continues to progress toward sitting, though she's not quite ready yet.



ETA: Well, 3 hours later, no answer. Where did you go, Kathy?? LOL.

Took pics of Gideon and Dru. I think he's looking really handsome, don't you? He's 8 weeks and she is 11 weeks old.

I love this age! They look fabulous!

I have some about the same age. One is a gorgeous blue (Olive Egger) with fantastic lacing. I will get pictures of that group and show ya.

I am at my wit's end with these stupid Canada geese.

They absolutely will not stay out of my pens! 16 of them now. I think they are taunting me and now retaliating since we caught one. Next one we catch I AM gonna kill! Look at this video..... see them come out of the layers coop run........

I wish I knew how to get rid of them without killing them....... and I am about ready to! I just now caught them AGAIN! Another one is trapped in the smaller side of the layers coop run. I think I will just start processing them.

Yup, goose in the freezer sounds fine to me. DO IT! They're a nuisance and a danger to your birds.

BTW, I can see it now. I wouldn't put up with them going into my pens, dang it!
