SE Michigan - 2 Ancona Drakes need a new home

I have 2 lovely, sweet Ancona boys looking for a new home. We raised 4 ducklings and ended up with the worst combination - 1 female and 3 males! We were hoping for the other way round. Their adult quacks have come in and their sexes are now official. We're going to keep the female and one male. They're a very close knit group but the hormones haven't kicked in yet and I'd like separate them before they do.

We're in West Bloomfield in SE Michigan and I'm willing to deliver them if needed. Very social, raised with a Golden Retriever, kept in a large grassy pen with supervised trips to a marshy pond. Healthy, strong, excellent foragers.

Prefer a home that will keep them as pets.

We're keeping the chocolate female and lavender male. I'd keep them all if I could. Thought about separating them and keep them in pairs, but they'd still be relatively close.

I would take them if you could some how get them to minnisota I have one pekin hen two anocona hens and another hen im getting some time yhis week I think shes a silver appleyard mix and five chicken hens so they would have plenty of company

Thanks for your response. I should update this thread. We were able to find a very nice home for one male and we picked up another female. For now we're going to try to keep these two pairs. We'll see how it goes. The male we kept was lower down on the pecking order and very mild mannered so we hope that will continue.

Overall, I'm very much relieved. The new female fit in nicely after a few days of mild pecking. She and my other female quickly became BFF. It was sad to see Chip, the young randy drake, go but I really like the new owner who isn't far away. She sent photos and he's settling in.

Another plus is they're spending all day on the pond and are very tired when they come home. They've been pretty low key and content.
