Search feature change

It used to be, when I searched something, it would show by when the topic was posted. Now when I search serama, it is sorting by when the last reply was. It is HORRIBLE! I am coming up with all the popular topics that have had serama mentioned once or twice. For instance, I am getting all the state topics. VERY frustrating!

Sorry it is frustrating to you. We've had a lot of complaints from people when it was the other way too.

What we've decided is to follow the established and most common way of presenting the search results found in the leading forum software applications.

I know what you mean. Search for "cochin", "serama", or "silkie" and you'll get lots of topics that have 300 posts, even if the word was mentioned just once a year ago on page 19. It searching MUCH less useful.

Maybe you could make an option so people could choose?
