Sears and Kmart closings

yeah, we have their credit card too? not sure why. we did use it and bought a 1000.00 dollar new bed mattress... yeah that was about it. MMMmmm that was like 6 years ago tho.

Your descriptions of KMarts are the same of all the WalMarts in the state of Indiana! The Walmarts (even those in the ritzy neighborhoods) have the most disgusting restrooms I have ever been in! One was clean for the first week it was opened, never again after that! The one exception is the WalMart in Camby, Indiana. It is pretty clean most of the time!

May I say, I agree with the comments, being 65 I remember when Sears was a well run store, no back stabbing, good products, no push for credit cards

Wal-mart on top of things? HAHAHA not around here. Although the people are generally friendly (workers) they are very very slow here and are easily confused.

Well we have one where they are on top of things and really nice and very clean but the super walmart you can forget about. That place is always a mess and people are rude to. As before i think it just depends on the area.

We have both a Super Walmart and a Kmart about 35 miles from us. Man I hate the Walmart-the clerks are bossy (if you can find one to help you), they dont know where the merchandize is, or it will be in on the next truck, (suppose to be next day, ha!) we wait 2 months for ink that was to be in on the next truck just to find out it is discontinues.

The food is awful, the meat has a warehouse taste to it.

We refuse to go into it.

We do shop in the Kmart and I'm afraid ours will be one to go. Everyone is nice and friendly, they just redid the bathrooms. Have lots of sales and always buy more than we went in for. But it just doesnt have the customer base that it used to.

I liked the Walmart before they took it out of the mall and made it "super". I do alot of crafts and man I used to be able to find so many neat and new things, now it's just one small row, why even bother.

I vote for Kmart.

Our local Kmart is ok. We don't go there much because it's farther away than other stores, but we do go there to find shoes and a couple other things sometimes, because they'll often have a nicer if smaller selection. I don't know if that one will close, but it wouldn't surprise me.

That said, I dislike Walmart too. x]

K-mart closed in Canada years ago.... sadly sears was not affected by this round of cuts

I will be sorry to see Sears go under. I am nostaglic for old American businesses; it feels like we lose more variety every year. It's the same stores and restaurant chains eveywhere I look.
