Sebastopol Geese Male/female?

I’m having a hard time identifying male or female. Almost a year old. I am unsure of how to vent for ID also don’t want to hurt them. They are close to the same size. Always together. Both vocal.

No one else has responded, so I'll give it a try and say the one on the right is female due to the shorter neck, squatter posture, and head pointing forward rather than up.

Behavior is a good way to tell. The ganders job is to guard his wife. If they mate you might be able to spot his penis before it retracts.

Thank you! The one on the right is a lot more laid back. The taller seems to hiss more. At everyone but me that is. This is my first time having geese. They stay together all the time so I’m really hoping they are a pair.

The hissy goose most likely a male. A slower, laid-back one would probably be a female. If you find a big white egg, at least one is a female. If they try to start mating, most likely you can tell their gender too...but not always!

Found my first Sebastopol egg today from my almost 11 month old gal. She had been lagging behind the rest of the gaggle when I let them out in the morning. Really didn't expect an egg for at least another month, so I thought maybe she wasn't feeling well.
