I bought 4 adult Sebs and was wondering if anyone could tell me what would happen if I merge them with my flock?
This group has a male and his 3 females that he breeds with... Will he still breed with them if I merge the flock or will other males take his girls? Will everyone breed with everyone or will they stick to who thay are used to being with? Right now I have them in 2 seperate pens... Do you think someone cold get hurt if I put them together? I put one of my females in with the new geese just to feel it out and the gander chased her and kept pulling her chest feathers so I put her back with her own flock... Please let me know your experiance... Thanks...

Sebs are very gentle birds and will probably be bullied by your other geese. I would not put them together, someone will definitely get hurt. Especially this late in the season. It should be fine if you put them together after breeding season though.

And yes, if they were put together it is very likely that the other gander would take your sebbie's girls and breed them himself.

Keep them in the separate pens if you can.

Good luck,

have two pens as close as you can for a month or so so they can see each other but not really hurt each other. If I goes smoothly for that amount of time, try to free range both flocks together and if they act fine then thats good. If not, separate them again for a while and try again. It might be hard at this time, though since it is breeding season, so it might be better to wait until after. I was in the same predicament as you. I had three sebbies and got three more. It didn't take too long for both flocks to get along, but my first three were younger than the other flock, so that might have made a difference. We then got a Holderread gray sebbie pair and it only took our flock a couple days to get used to them. It might also be a good idea to have two separate food and water dishes when they are together so that each group has their own. Good Luck!
