Anyone here have experience with leg injuries on these guys? I've been enjoying my pair so much since I got them - I'm not sure, I think maybe 5 or 6 months ago. But the male recently came down with a worsening limp, and according to the vet we're looking at a partial dislocation. Apparently very uncommon since geese have such tough legs, I've got a healthy suspicion my turkeys got a lucky kick in at some point. (That's why the brats are getting moved into their own pen this coming month... the other three males are good boys but Brooks will kick anything in a 2 foot radius). The vet says it will heal with 6 weeks cage rest, but he will limp, and he's gonna need "kid gloves" for pretty much the rest of his life. I'm rather concerned this includes mating. The pair is mostly pets but I had an interest in breeding them. I'm hopeful he'll be able to mount once this is all said and done but if anyone has any similar experiences I'd love to hear them...
