Aspen,

Who did you get your start in whites from?

Jean,

I actually do not know. I found an ad on Craiglist (I normally do not buy any birds off CL due to disease, etc), however a lady was selling her quad of 2-3 year old Sebastopols, she told me she had bought them from another man and had no idea where he got them. So honestly, I have no clue.
Beautiful pictures everybody. Aspen, love the feathering on your whites. Very unique "texture" to it.

RAIN AGAIN!!!! I think the animals are pairing up 2 x 2!
Thank you Kimberly. Fresh Water and Whole Oats had a lot to do with it.

They are pretty. That first one is like "who me?" So how old are they and when do you think you'll know the sexes? Do you go by vocal sounds mostly? Wish we had some snow. We are in the January blahs right now.
Umm I got them last spring.. so they aren't a yr old yet. The first pic... I am pretty sure Garth is a gander and the other two... Rosey and Dimples.... are hopefully girls :)

I am too new to Sebbies to make an educated guess about the sounds they make. I can say.... Garth started making cooing sounds (for the lack of a better term) to me a few days ago. I am ready for the snow to be gone.... I want to run barefoot through the grass... umm but not behind the Sebbies... lol... no like green sticky stinky feet.. lol

I have a question.............. My sebbie yard is under snow... they are not able to get to any kind of natural grit.... I have been feeding them like I said...hay, sweet goat feed along with their gamebird food... Would it be wise to give them crushed oystershell to help digest the extra roughage???

You can buy grit after TSC, if you are worried about them needing some. : )
