Good and Fig if the one came from a blue it could be a blue with the lighter silver coloring. I find that the greys are really dark grey and the blues are more of a silver blue. Or it could be just a lighter grey color.

Well that is a good sign. The weird one was likely bad/infertile and went rotten. Probably her first egg, they are usually not fertile yet.Just the one. It was broken and tons of yucky yellow stuff was all over it. I believe it had started to incubate and was an early quitter.
When I candeled around day 10 one looked differently than the others. I should have taken it out but I left it.
Thanks for all the advice everybody!babies here are sold in pairs or straight run and nothing else because no-one wants to be left with a bunch of ganders. Shewould be better off waiting till fall and buying juveniles at that time when the sorting is done by most breeders and the extras are put up for sale. Also if you dont know how to vent sex I surely would let a stranger come over to do it before they buy. What if she isnt good at it either and injures a gosling?
Amy cute babies, congratson the newest hatch.

No new eggs to report but then the weather aint great yet. Congrats to all with new babies.
Ahhh- it would be really cool if it was a blue saddleback!!!!Good and Fig if the one came from a blue it could be a blue with the lighter silver coloring. I find that the greys are really dark grey and the blues are more of a silver blue. Or it could be just a lighter grey color.
