Hi everyone -- well, Henry officially has company of his own "feather"--the CURLY kind of course

I lucked out and found a flock of sebs original 2 pair purchased as Elite Show Quality from Holderreads. Anyway, one of the youngsters is an amazing light buff color and I'm wondering exactly what you call it? Certainly looks almost "cream" to me, but I realize that is nearly impossible. Please let me know what you think. Here she is:

And Dad--please excuse the dirty feather. They were in a box in transit for at least 6+ hours.

and Mom:

And of course Henry -- she's completely lost with her new "friends" and probably wants out of the holding pen and back on the big pond she's used to.

Thank you Miss Lydia. I'm really excited. It rained pretty hard here last night. It still looks like the little goose is some color of buff and not just dirty. Also it kindof goes up her neck a little. I hope someone who has been breeding sebs for a while can shed some light.

Also, I'm beginning to think that my splash gander has a splash of mascara! I thought at first it was dirt or something beside his eye, but its been there since Saturday so maybe not. The rest of his spots are only seen on his back when he flaps his pretty wings

Thanks Shellie -- I hope so. I joined the other forum also and have studied Pete's genetics till my head spun off.....

The new flock seems to hate me less each day so maybe, just maybe I can take better pictures this weekend. Stay warm!

Yep, have used the fireplace a lot recently. Tired of these cold fronts, but it good for breeding.

Petes notes on genetics are great, but I have to read them in the morning with coffee.

Beautiful pics! Sebbies are my favorite domestic geese. Are they very loud Shellie? Ive never seen (Or heard) them in the flesh.
