. Cottage rose your birds are outstanding !!!
Its great seeing all the pics and read what you say . It helps me to know what to breed for and look for when buying new birds .

Is "quilting" the feathers on the curly breatsted birds breast ?

I think the term "quilting" was something Audrey came up with to describe they way her Sebs look on the upper breast area and lower neck. The AO breast feathers aren't very long and curly but it looks like quilting. Treasures daughter Ivy does not have the quilting on the lower neck but her father Meringue was a complete outcross and you lose things that way. I should keep a Treasure son this year and breed him back to her to tighten up on the AO genetics.

Banter I'm not sure what you mean by being "totally curly." Please clarify. Thanks.

If it was a gentically dominant trait I'm sure it would help but Treasure's daughter Ivy does not have the high quilting.
On the other hand a friend of mine has a curly, white AO gander that when bred to smooth breasted females produces some very curly offspring.

I should also add that unless you keep ALOT of goslings every year how can anybody really make big improvements?
I'm just trying to do it in my small way.
