Another popular bantam (at least out here) are the D'uccles, and the Bantam Cochins. Also very friendly little birds.

Serama would be a fun breed for showmanship! What about a rose-combed breed? Rosecomb bantams possibly? Or bantam Barred Plymouth Rocks are flashy little things.

Just trying to give options...something without lethal genes and will hold interest. From the two breeds the OP wrote about, game type birds have their attention.​
