Think you are right about Nigel...rooster through and through. Claude however may very well be Claudine. Hard to tell from just pictures at this age but based on their comb development for 5 weeks that would be my guess.

It's funny because a week ago he was looking so far behind Claude that I would've sworn he was a pullet. But now he's looking more roo-like every day. Claude I'm still on the fence about.

Lots of really pretty sebrights in this thread. My Golden Sebright rooster came from the last egg my Dad put in the incubator before he died 2 years ago. His sebrights came from Jerry Bonds, and like a dummy I didn't take every bird from the place when he passed. My nephew took them, didn't take care of them, and they're all gone except for this rooster and his offspring. If you live in Northwest Arkansas area and have sebrights I would love to find a quality hen or 2.

There are some in Missouri. I went to a Chicken Swap in Coweta last weekend that you might check out. Every 3rd Saturday, I think.

I hope it is ok that I jump in here. I was given 14 gold laced sebright eggs from a good friend of the family about 3 weeks ago. 11 of the eggs made it to today 9 hatched this morning 2 are cherping this evening under my Cochin bantam's. They killed 2of the 9 this morning. So I have 7 little one's as of now. I've never had sebrights but my husband did 15 years ago and wanted them again. Our friend gave us the eggs out of his show stock. I can't wait to watch them grow up. They are the cutest little things. Is there a way to sex them when they are young. Or are they more of await and see?
