Interesting book that applies very well to introducing sebrights to new birds- The book is Called "Upland Gamebirds ". I know its written for pheasants and quail but this past year I have tried some of the methods and it has made a huge difference!

Sebrights that are kept with other chicks of different color varieties as chicks and juveniles tend to be more balanced adults I noticed. Less likely to fight.

Sebright males are often aggressive, however, they weigh 22 ounces. I doubt they'd have done your husband any serious harm.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure they wouldn't have actually hurt him. But they were sure trying pretty hard. It was actually kinda cute. Like little brightly colored Scrappy Doos.

I kinda think that may be part of the reason bantam roosters in general seem to be so badly behaved some times. I think a lot of people tend to treat them like they treat small dogs. And actually think it's cute when they start acting like little "men" Then it gets out of hand real quick once the novelty of the situation wears off.

I've thought about selling the ss I have. Don't know why but they've just become the least favorite breed. Some folks will call after seeing something else I have for sale and ask about bantams but have never heard of a silver sebright! Oh the joys of raising chickens...

Hey all. I'm hatching my very first sebright eggs from my golden sebright rooster and my golden sebright hen. All four eggs appear to be developing well. They are on day 14. Any tips for incubating sebright eggs? This is my first time ever hatching bantams, so does it work the same as the larger breeds? Should I expect them to pip around day 20 or so? Or do bantams hatch earlier?
