Hi Everyone !

So glad to find the Sebright Thread !

We have our pics up on our website if anyone would like to see them. They came from a top breeder.

They are my 12 yr. old son's favorite breed.

This year we had the privilege to raise some Golden Sebright chickies, among his other 4 breeds.

We do have some of the young chickens for sale too. They are about 3-4 months old.

Check them out !

Thanks,

Hey Mitch ! (Punky Rooster)

Did you make it here yet ?

My son said he's only seen just 1 picture on the internet of a citron sebright.

If you could track down any website links to Dan Powell or Minnesotachickenbreeder or that other guy in MN, that might be easier for him to find them or just to see more pics of citron sebrights (See, I told you I would write them down for him).

I've set limits for my son. He's only allowed 10 chickens per breed and he has 5 breeds. He can give one breed up in exchange for another. But he needs to adhere by our rules.

So, I think he's giving up his blue silkies to work on 2 Ameraucana colors.

We'll see how he feels about the citron sebrights. I imagine they must cost a pretty penny. Not sure he's saved up enough allowance $ yet to afford one of those !

Thanks again,

I can find the links... Be right back,
Stupid me, I was thinking of Hamburgs, but it turns out, Dan has Citron Sebrights!
http://www.oneearthfarm.com/chickens/sebrights.html Its $150 for a pair, so yeah, but I'd think its worth it if he really wants them... Dan put a lot of his time & effort into making them. (I'm pretty sure that's what he did with them, I know he did with his Brahmas.

Dan is also the originator of teh Lavendar Sebright.

I have 5 silver sebrights(2 boys and 3 girls) mixed in with other bantam youngsters of the same age.

They are now out of the brooder and in the coop. The Sebrights rule the coop....that's a fact! At just a little over a month old the males are acting like a couple gang bangers on a drive by....the poor Sultans are the innocent victims most of the time. I've had to put them in time out a few times....once they calm done, all is well. One of them will find a new home for sure...

Does anyone have (12-18) Silver sebright eggs for sale? I live in Southwestern Georgia, and if possible would like them to be local for a potentially better hatch rate. I got 12 on ebay, most died during incubaton and the 1 that made it into "lockdown" died before hatching.

Well, take heart in that it wasn't anything YOU did, or even the shipping, because Silver Sebrights are notoriously hard to incubate and hatch successfully. Even if they hatch, they're supposedly hard to brood, although I have had success with two different pairs of feed store, straight run Sebright chicks.

At least that's what *I* have been told, and I'm just passing it on to you..... Could just as easily be a myth.
